Would you say Marie Callendar is pious? I've often wondered why a place called Callendar's doesn't sell date pies. Maybe Marie can't get a date! What do you think?

Mon, May 4, 2009 - 11:58 PMSpeaking of Greeks, I hear they own a lot of nurseries and pet stores. That's so they can sell a lot of hummus bird feeders! -
-
Re: Pie shops
Mon, May 4, 2009 - 11:58 PMThe hummus bird, in case you don't know, is the chick pea!

Thu, March 26, 2009 - 1:51 PMAt the particular pie hole that we frequent, the pies are named after the person who invented it, i.e. Shirley pie is a wonderful apple raisin mixture. Be careful what you order though - you'll rue Barb pie. -

Re: Pie shops
Thu, March 26, 2009 - 4:18 PMUgh. I fell for your rues just now.

Sun, March 29, 2009 - 4:04 PMI was remembering today, that I had seen a recipe for a 7-up cake. I wonder if there could also be a pie version. You know, something called Pop pie? With a little Olive Oyl in the recipe?

Re: Pie shops
Mon, March 30, 2009 - 1:55 PMwe had penn's pies out here...billy penn, of the upper crust, opened them, using his aunts' olde family recipes. but when he wouldn't cut his aunts in on the profits, they started her own chain of discount pie shops, and you just couldn't beat...the pie rates of penn's aunts.*
*too 'good' to take undue credit: i stole it from the old british game show 'my word!' -

Re: Pie shops
Mon, March 30, 2009 - 10:56 PMIf you watch a show irregularly, do they advertise fiber supplements in between? -

Re: Pie shops
Tue, March 31, 2009 - 9:06 AMOne my friends has one of those families who fight all the time. Last year they managed to settle most of their disagreements. Until Thanksgiving. Pumpkin or Pecan? Now his family is divided by pie. -

Re: Pie shops
Fri, May 1, 2009 - 12:20 PMI've heard Marie Callendar's was going to start cutting their pies in eight pieces instead of six for dieters. That way they could say they have octopi on the menu!
